Mounting regulatory pressure, the harmonization of standards across jurisdictions, and growing consumer interest are all driving clean automotive technologies out of the laboratory and into the mass market.

Canada’s government is moving to introduce standards that will improve fuel economy and reduce greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions, in coordination with eforts underway in the U.S. Harmonization between the two will have important economic consequences—allowing manufacturers to achieve economies of scale, reduce car prices, get more vehicles to market faster and realize environmental benefts sooner.
