SDTC-supported projects are addressing the full spectrum of oil and gas operations. Processes that use solvents instead of steam to draw heavy oil from reserves are signifcantly reducing water and energy consumption. Solutions that eliminate the need for centralized bitumen processing prior to refning are also cutting energy use—and costs. Innovative technologies are allowing companies to clean up tailing ponds, recovering precious water resources.
