A healthy lifestyle change buddy to lean on in times of trouble and triumph

can help the weight loss process. We know that sharing your experience

with others, helps with not feeling alone in the process and can make

you feel good because you are helping someone else at the same time.

When you have a diet or exercise buddy, you are more likely to go to the

gym when you do not feel like it or stick with dietary changes that you

are having a hard time with. When you share the experience with another

person, you not only have the support but also can learn additional tools

(e.g., healthy recipes, exercise tips) to increase the chances of your weight

loss success. While ideally this person is in the same area that you live in,

if this is not feasible, picking up the phone or chatting online can also be

efective in increasing the likelihood of sticking with the goals that you set

out for yourself.
